Penguatan Implementasi Awig-Awig sebagai Kearifan Lokal untuk Meningkatkan Ketahanan Sosial Masyarakat Dusun Alas Malang

This community service activity aimed to strengthen the implementation of awig-awig as local wisdom in enhancing the social resilience of the Banjar Kertha Dana community, Alas Malang Hamlet. This activity was conducted based on the importance of preserving customary values amid increasingly complex social changes, where awig-awig was not merely perceived as a traditional regulation but also as a social instrument that strengthened solidarity, responsibility, and community harmony. The activity employed a participatory approach through several stages, including community condition identification, field observations, interviews with customary leaders, community discussions, and reflections on the implementation of awig-awig in daily social practices. The results indicated that awig-awig had continued to play an important role in regulating community life through sangkep meetings, mutual cooperation activities, religious practices, social obligations (patus), and customary mechanisms for resolving violations. The activity also revealed that the community had demonstrated adaptive capacity in maintaining the fundamental values of awig-awig while adjusting customary regulations to contemporary social developments without diminishing their cultural essence. Strengthening community understanding of the function of awig-awig showed that local wisdom had contributed strategically to building social resilience through strengthening shared norms, community participation, social solidarity, and cultural identity preservation. The activity concluded that strengthening community-based local wisdom had become an important strategy for maintaining cultural sustainability while enabling communities to respond constructively to social changes.
