Author Guidelines
AUTHOR GUIDELINES
Kembang Rare: Journal of Early Childhood Education
1. General Requirements

Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
-
The manuscript must focus on issues related to Early Childhood Education (ECE) in accordance with the journal’s focus and scope.
-
Articles may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English.
-
Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system (OJS).
-
All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.
2. Manuscript Structure
The manuscript must be prepared systematically using the following structure:
A. Title
-
Concise, specific, and informative (maximum 15–20 words).
-
Written in bold and centered.
-
Avoid abbreviations whenever possible.
B. Author(s) Information
-
Full name(s) without academic titles.
-
Institutional affiliation (department, institution, country).
-
Corresponding author’s email address.
C. Abstract
-
Written in one paragraph, 150–250 words.
-
Clearly state the purpose of the study, method, main findings, and conclusion.
-
Written in English (and Bahasa Indonesia if required by journal policy).
D. Keywords
-
3–5 keywords.
-
Separated by commas.
-
Reflect the core concepts of the article.
E. Introduction
The introduction should:

Present the background and significance of the study.
-
Review relevant literature.
-
Identify research gaps.
-
Clearly state the research objectives or research questions.
F. Method
This section should explain:
-
Research design/approach.
-
Participants or subjects.
-
Instruments and data collection procedures.
-
Data analysis techniques.
The method must be described clearly to allow replication.
G. Results and Discussion
-
Present research findings clearly and systematically.
-
Use tables or figures when necessary (numbered and titled).
-
Discuss findings critically by relating them to relevant theories and previous studies.
-
Highlight the contribution of the study to the field of Early Childhood Education.
H. Conclusion
-
Summarize the main findings.
-
Answer the research objectives.
-
Provide implications and possible recommendations.
-
Avoid repeating the discussion section.
I. Acknowledgment (Optional)
-
Mention funding sources or institutional support if applicable.
J. References
-
Use recent and relevant references (preferably from the last 5–10 years).
-
At least 15 references for research articles.
-
Use a consistent citation style (e.g., APA 7th Edition).
-
Ensure all cited works appear in the reference list and vice versa.
3. Formatting Guidelines
-
Manuscript length: approximately 10–15 pages (or 4,000–7,000 words).
-
Paper size: A4.
-
Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides (or follow the journal template).
-
Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt.
-
Line spacing: 1.5 spacing.
-
Paragraph: justified alignment.
Tables and figures must:

Be numbered consecutively.
-
Include clear titles and sources (if applicable).
-
Be referred to in the text.
4. Ethical Considerations
-
Authors must ensure the originality of their work.
-
Proper citation is required for all sources.
-
Plagiarism (including self-plagiarism) is strictly prohibited.
-
Research involving children must comply with ethical standards and, where applicable, include parental consent.
