Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to Kembang Rare: Jurnal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini undergoes a structured, objective, and transparent peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and integrity in the field of Early Childhood Education (ECE).


Initial Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the Editor to assess:

  • Compliance with the journal’s author guidelines and manuscript template

  • Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope in Early Childhood Education

  • Originality and similarity index (plagiarism screening)

If a manuscript does not comply with the journal formatting requirements, it will be returned to the author for adjustment in accordance with the official template. Manuscripts that fall outside the scope of Early Childhood Education will not proceed to the review stage.

Only manuscripts that meet formatting standards, align with the journal’s scope, and pass plagiarism screening will proceed to the peer review stage.


Peer Review Stage

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned by the Editor to at least one (1) independent reviewer with expertise in Early Childhood Education or related fields.

Kembang Rare: Jurnal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini applies a single-blind peer review system, in which the reviewer’s identity is concealed from the author.

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and novelty of the study

  • Theoretical relevance and contribution to Early Childhood Education

  • Methodological rigor and research design

  • Clarity of analysis and presentation

  • Significance of findings for research and practice in PAUD

  • Quality and relevance of references


Editorial Decision

The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor based on the reviewer’s evaluation and recommendations. The possible editorial decisions are:

Accept Submission
The manuscript is accepted for publication without revisions.

Revisions Required
The manuscript requires minor revisions and does not require further peer review.

Resubmit for Review
The manuscript requires substantial revisions and must be resubmitted for another round of peer review.

Decline Submission
The manuscript is rejected due to issues related to quality, methodological weakness, scope mismatch, or insufficient academic contribution.


Author Revision Process

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ and Editor’s comments and resubmit within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts must clearly indicate changes made in response to reviewer feedback.

The Editor reserves the right to make the final publication decision after evaluating the revised submission.
