Author Guidelines
Jnanottama: Journal of Educational Sciences is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal that publishes high-quality original research articles and conceptual papers in the field of education. The journal is committed to upholding academic integrity, publication ethics, and transparency in scholarly communication.
Manuscripts submitted to this journal must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
1. Aims and Scope
Jnanottama focuses on advancing educational knowledge through empirical research and critical conceptual analysis. The journal welcomes manuscripts that address educational issues from contextual, humanistic, and culturally grounded perspectives, including interdisciplinary approaches.

2. Manuscript Submission
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) of Jnanottama. Authors are required to register and log in to the journal system before submitting their manuscripts.
3. Language and Style
Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English. Authors must ensure clarity, coherence, and academic writing standards. Manuscripts written in English should be grammatically correct and stylistically consistent.
4. Manuscript Preparation
Authors must use the official Jnanottama manuscript template and comply with the following format:

Manuscript length: 8–15 pages
5. Title and Author Details

The title must be concise, informative, and reflect the content of the manuscript

Maximum title length: 13 words

Title font: Arial 12 pt, bold, centered

Author names must be written in full without academic titles

Affiliations should include institution and country
-
One author must be designated as the corresponding author, including an active email address
6. Abstract and Keywords

Abstracts must be provided in Bahasa Indonesia and English
-
Length: 150–200 words
-
Abstracts should clearly state the research background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions
-
No citations or unexplained abbreviations are allowed
-
Keywords: 3–5 keywords, separated by commas
7. Structure of the Manuscript
Manuscripts must be structured as follows:
A. Introduction
Includes background, problem formulation, research gap, relevant theories, previous studies, and research objectives. This section should account for approximately 20% of the manuscript.
B. Method
Describes research design, participants or subjects, instruments, data collection procedures, and data analysis techniques clearly and reproducibly. This section should comprise 10% (qualitative) or 15% (quantitative) of the manuscript.
C. Results and Discussion
Results and discussion must be presented in separate subsections. This section should constitute at least 60% of the manuscript.
In-text citations must use the author–date format (Author, Year).

D. Conclusion
Presents a concise synthesis of findings and discussions, aligned with research objectives, and highlights the contribution of the study to educational theory and practice.
E. Acknowledgements
Optional section for recognizing funding agencies or institutional support.

References must be listed alphabetically

All cited sources must appear in the reference list and vice versa

A minimum of 80% of references should be from peer-reviewed journal articles, preferably published within the last five years

Authors are required to use reference management software (recommended: Mendeley)

8. Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo:

Initial editorial screening

Double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers

Editorial decision based on reviewers’ recommendations
The journal ensures objectivity, confidentiality, and transparency throughout the review process.
9. Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Jnanottama adheres to the principles of publication ethics and malpractice prevention. Authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to follow ethical guidelines concerning originality, plagiarism, authorship, conflicts of interest, and data integrity.
10. Open Access Policy
Jnanottama provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
11. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.
All published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
12. Publication Frequency
Jnanottama: Journal of Educational Sciences is published biannually, in January and July.
