Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to Jnanottama: Journal of Educational Sciences undergoes a structured and transparent peer review process to ensure academic quality and integrity.

Initial Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts are first reviewed by the Editor to evaluate:

  • Compliance with the journal’s manuscript template and formatting guidelines

  • Relevance to the journal’s aims and scope

  • Similarity and plagiarism level

If the manuscript does not comply with the required format, the Editor will return it to the author for revision in accordance with the journal template. Manuscripts that fall outside the journal’s scope will not be processed further.

Only manuscripts that meet the formatting requirements, fall within the journal’s scope, and pass the plagiarism screening will proceed to the peer review stage.

Peer Review Stage

Eligible manuscripts are assigned by the Editor to at least one (1) independent reviewer for evaluation using a single-blind review system, in which the reviewer’s identity is concealed from the author.

The reviewer assesses the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, relevance to the field of education, and contribution to knowledge.

Editorial Decision

The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor based on the reviewer’s evaluation and recommendations. The possible editorial decisions are as follows:

  • Accept Submission
The manuscript is accepted for publication without any revisions.

  • Revisions Required
The manuscript requires minor revisions and does not need to be re-reviewed.

  • Resubmit for Review
The manuscript requires substantial revisions and must be resubmitted for further review.

  • Decline Submission
The manuscript is rejected due to issues related to quality, relevance, or academic rigor.

Author Revision

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewer’s and editor’s comments and resubmit them within the specified timeframe. The Editor reserves the right to make the final publication decision after the revision process.
